Hey everyone! Today, we finally have with us the Realme GT 8 Pro. This phone has been one of the most requested devices for unboxing and review. Many people have been asking, “Where’s the unboxing of Realme GT 8 Pro?” and today, here it is!
So many new phones have been launching lately that I was honestly confused about which one to unbox first. But today, let’s go ahead and do the Realme GT 8 Pro unboxing and find out what makes this device special.
Realme GT 8 Pro Design and Build
The first thing that stands out is its camera layout. It comes with two replaceable designs — a square camera layout and a circular camera layout. You can actually change these layouts yourself, and this concept is quite unique — it reminds you a bit of CMF’s interchangeable design.
Inside the box, you get a tiny screwdriver, which you can use to open the screws and swap the frame design. It’s a very different and creative concept that sets this phone apart.
In China, this model was launched for ¥4000, which is around 2100 AED in Dubai and approximately ₹49,300 in India — a very aggressive price considering it features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Generation 5 chipset and a 200MP GR-powered main camera.
The display features LTPS technology similar to the Redmi lineup. Let’s start unboxing to see what’s inside. The global launch is also expected soon, possibly by November.
I’ll also be comparing it later with iQOO 15 and Redmi K9 Pro Max since their prices will be very close. It could even rebrand as Poco F8 Ultra in some markets.
If you’d like me to compare it with phones like OnePlus, Oppo Find X9, or Vivo X300, let me know in the comments section.
Realme GT 8 Pro Unboxing
Inside the box, we have the Realme GT 8 Pro (RO GR Edition) — I chose the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
It’s priced at ¥3999 (₹49,400 or around 2100 AED). You also get another smaller box, which I’ll show later.
The phone comes in three colors — Black, Green, and White. I picked the White variant.
Inside, you’ll find:
- Instruction manuals and warranty cards
- A clear silicone protective case
- Three interchangeable camera frames (square and circle)
- The tiny screwdriver (pechkas) for swapping frames
The included cover changes according to the frame you use. It’s quite impressive and unique.
Now let’s take out the phone itself — and wow, the white color looks really premium. The camera layout can be changed easily, giving a completely different look and feel.
There’s RCO GR branding and Realme branding on the back.

The phone also includes a Type-C to USB data cable and a SIM ejector tool. The only thing missing is a Type-C to Type-C cable, which would have been more convenient.
Design and Feel of Realme GT 8 Pro
The phone feels premium with a glass back and aluminum frame. It has:
- Power and volume buttons
- Antenna lines
- Noise cancellation mic
- Stereo speakers
- SIM tray and Type-C charging port
It does not include an alert slider or extra action buttons.
When powered on, you get a 6.79-inch 2K BOE OLED display (LTPS, not LTPO). That means it doesn’t switch dynamically from 1Hz to 144Hz — instead, it’s fixed at 144Hz refresh rate.
Realme GT 8 Pro Display Quality
The display supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and reaches up to 7000 nits brightness, which is extremely bright.
The bezels are super slim, and the chin is very small — giving it an immersive look.
The display feels color-rich and punchy, with smooth motion at 144Hz refresh rate.
It’s also IP68 and IP69 certified, making it both water- and dust-resistant — a huge plus for durability.
Realme GT 8 Pro Benchmark Performance
Now let’s check its benchmarks.
On AnTuTu, it scored around 3.6 million points.
The temperature rose up to 46–47°C, which is similar to what we saw on the OnePlus flagship that reached 51°C in previous tests.
Even though it heats up slightly during benchmarks or stress tests, the performance is excellent.
On Geekbench 6, it scored:
- Single-core: 3260
- Multi-core: 9222
That’s impressive for a 12GB RAM variant.
During 3DMark stress tests, the phone stabilized around 44°C, showing it manages heat better than the OnePlus model (which hit 51°C).
The loop score came around 7200, much higher than OnePlus’s 5000, though stability was only 34%, suggesting optimization is still needed.
Realme GT 8 Pro Gaming Performance
Now for gaming — let’s start with Chinese PUBG.
- Supports Smooth + 144 FPS mode
- Gameplay is butter-smooth, with no lags or stutters
- The phone does not heat up noticeably even after long matches
I tested Deathmatch mode, and the experience was excellent.
Even though I’m not a pro gamer, my goal is to show how smooth the gameplay feels and whether the phone heats up — and it performed great!
Later, I tested Global PUBG — it supports up to 60 FPS, not 120 FPS like OnePlus or iQOO.
Still, the performance was stable and smooth. The gunfights were quick, the controls responsive, and the phone stayed cool.
Overall, PUBG gameplay on Realme GT 8 Pro is smooth, lag-free, and thermally stable.
Realme GT 8 Pro Audio and Speakers
The phone comes with stereo speakers, and the sound output is loud and clear.
Music and in-game audio sound crisp and rich, with balanced bass and treble.
Realme GT 8 Pro Camera Performance
The Realme GT 8 Pro offers:
- 50MP main sensor (OIS)
- 200MP telephoto (Samsung HP5)
- 50MP ultra-wide
- 32MP front camera
You get 3x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom.
Supports 4K 120FPS and 8K 30FPS video recording.
Front camera supports 4K 60FPS.
Now, about the results — I captured multiple shots:
- 1x shot: great lighting and clarity
- 3x and 6x zoom: very impressive
- 10x zoom: excellent dynamic range and accurate colors
The colors are vibrant yet natural, with no over-saturation. Realme has done a good job with tuning.
Portrait and macro shots also looked nice — with good bokeh and color accuracy.
The front camera smoothens skin slightly (typical for Chinese variants), but it should be better tuned in the global version.
Overall, the camera performance is impressive for this price range.
Realme GT 8 Pro Final Impressions
After heavy testing, here’s the summary:
✅ Build quality: Premium glass and metal design
✅ Camera layout: Interchangeable frames are unique
✅ Battery: 7000mAh + 120W fast charging = excellent
✅ Wireless charging: 50W — a bonus
✅ Display: Bright, colorful, but LTPS (not LTPO)
✅ Chipset: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 — flagship-level
✅ Heating: Slightly warm during benchmarks, stable in gaming
✅ Software: Realme UI 7 (Android 16) feels like ColorOS/OxygenOS
Drawbacks:
- LTPS display (not adaptive refresh rate)
- Slight heating during benchmarks
- Needs better optimization in stress tests
But overall, Realme GT 8 Pro delivers powerful flagship performance, strong battery life, and excellent features at an aggressive price point.
Conclusion
So that’s everything about the Realme GT 8 Pro. It’s a well-balanced smartphone with a premium design, great cameras, and top-tier performance — perfect for gamers and camera enthusiasts alike.
If you’re planning to buy a new flagship phone soon, Realme GT 8 Pro is definitely worth checking out.
